Toluene diisocyanate T80/20, also known as 80/20 TDI, is an industrial chemical that belongs to the isocyanate group of compounds. It is a product formed by mixing two isomers of toluene diisocyanate (TDI) (2, 4-diisocyanate and 2, 6-diisocyanate) in a ratio of 80% and 20%.
Toluene diisocyanate T80/20 is commonly used as an important raw material for polyurethane materials, which are widely used in the manufacture of foam, elastomers, coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastic fibers. This compound is characterized by being a liquid at room temperature, but after reacting with polymers such as polyethers and polyesters, it can form a strong polymer structure. Therefore, toluene diisocyanate T80/20 has a wide range of applications in the manufacture of a variety of wear resistant, chemical corrosion resistant and high temperature resistant materials. In addition, it is often used to make elastic foams, such as in mattresses and car seats, to provide comfort and support.
